Level 2: Advanced car control courses:
The course consists of two sessions:
Session One: Advanced Accident Avoidance
This session is 90% practical and involves advanced exercises
on wet and dry bitumen, plus cornering techniques on the driving
circuit.
We will teach you Advanced Vehicle Control Skills such as:
- Driving Vision, Steering and Posture
- Braking (Lock-up, Threshold, ABS, Braking in Corners)
- Reactive Manoeuvres at Speed
(Slalom and Lane Change Tests)
- Advanced Cornering Techniques on Driving Circuit
- Timed Competitive Challenge
Session Two: Skid Pan Experience
YOU CAN ELECT TO ATTEND THIS SESSION ONLY OR RETURN
AND REPEAT THIS SESSION AGAIN AND AGAIN
During this session you will learn through experience how to
recognise and control skids on a purpose-built concrete skidpan
circuit.
The session covers:
- Skid and Slide Recognition (Understeer, Oversteer, Spins)
- Skid Prevention Techniques
- Skid Control (Reactive Throttle Control, Balance Points)
Our Skid Pan Experience is commonly completed by car clubs
and social groups. Corporate groups often at tend as part of
conferences or team building activities. A great idea for 18th or
21st birthday parties.

Who can attend?
This course is usually undertaken as a follow-on from a Defensive
Driving Course (like the SAFE DRIVE TEST DRIVER Driver Safety
Program) which focuses ont he essential driving theory and proactive
driving strategies.
It is for this reason we have made it a pre-requisite for under
21-year-old drivers to complete a Defensive Driving Course?
No prerequisite if participant 21 years+.

Level 3: Track Time:

Morgan Park Raceway (Warwick, QLD)
Itinerary:
Learn to apply the fundamentals of advanced car control and circuit driving whilst testing your skills with laps of both the short and long circuit. Plus take advantage of expert tuition from experienced instructors.
7:40 am – 8:00 am Drivers Briefing/Sign Indemnity Forms
8:00 am – 8:50 am Split into 2 groups
Group 1: Corner entry/exit techniques, Apex/Racing Lines
Group 2: Trail Braking Heel-toe downshifting Vision / Steering / Balance
8:50 am – 9:40 am Groups swap
9:45 am – 10:45 am Laps of short circuit (instructor ride in-car)
10:45 am – 12 noon Laps of long circuit (instructors ride in-car)
Costs:
$195 per person (discounts apply for group bookings)
Wearing a race/motorcycle helmet is mandatory for these sessions. (Helmets can be hired for additional $40)
